The GTE uses a more powerful 245PS version of VW Group’s otherwise familiar 1.4-litre petrol-electric setup – as in our current Audi A3 long-termer. Used Volkswagen Golf GTE Together, the two engines accelerate the Golf GTE from 0 to 100 km / h in just 7.0 seconds and enable a short-term speed of 222 km / h. They achieve a system output of 180 kW (245 hp) and an impressive torque of up to 400 Nm.
